Orli Hakanoglu is an artist and designer living and working in Brooklyn, New York. Painting is one half of her creative life; architecture the other. She earned her Master of Architecture from Yale University, where she developed an interest in abstraction and began the series of paintings she has continued over the past three years. In 2019, she moved to Brooklyn, where she works as an architectural designer at a small design-build firm. While painting and architecture remain distinct practices for her, shared formal elements—color, composition, and texture—animate and connect both halves of her creative work.
