Born just outside of London to English and Scottish parents, Clare completed a BFA at the University for the Creative Arts in Canterbury, and has continued her studio practice since then. Clare is now living full time in Brooklyn, New York.

What is your favorite design book?

Design as Art by Bruno Munari. I really love the way that Munari approaches writing about art and design - and more importantly his writing doesn't take itself too seriously.

What is your favorite design object?

I love the Garden Seats that Toshiko Takezu created. Her work often blurs the lines between functional pottery and sculpture, with many pieces appearing as though they can be used though they are intended to be appreciated as art first.
