Fictive Erosion consists of collections that all derive from a future scenario where human machines are forbidden due to environmental issues. The collections are speculative results of an ongoing investigation into adapting natural formation processes into design methods. Geology is a great source of inspiration. The sculptures are made from sand that has been exposed to forces such as wind and water, but also from pressure created by the human body. Each sculpture is created in sand and developed with alabaster. The method makes each shape unique, and the sand that leaves a texture on the alabaster creates its own stone-like material.
