Theo Vadot is a fourth-year student at the Rice University School of Architecture in Houston, Texas. His love for functional sculptural objects is rooted in his intersectional interests in art and architecture. He believes that one of the most beautiful things about architecture is its potential for intersectionality—utilizing architecture as a way of thinking about virtually any issue, rather than simply as a practice for designing buildings. In his work, he strives to produce socially and ecologically engaging spaces. At the scale of his sculptures, he explores the potentials of light and texture, evoking experiences that are multisensory and interactive at their own scale.
